Dear Sonja,

In the same week that Democrats admitted they probably won't pass a budget this year – robbing Americans of the chance to cut government spending and help create new jobs – a Democratic Congressman said his party won't reform the government-backed mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac because "it's too complicated." So Democrats don't have a plan to cut spending or rein in Fannie and Freddie – but they do have a plan to impose new jobs-killing regulations on the Internet, which Republicans are vigorously opposing.
